YOGA LIFE
A Workbook of Authentic Practices

Caroline McCarter has been practicing yoga since 1995, but it became more of an interest to her after taking a college yoga philosophy course in ‘97 during her undergraduate years at University of Michigan. She continued her studies there, eventually earning a Masters degree in Library and Information Science. While she excelled as a Librarian, the draw of her yoga studies pulled her away from that career. After several years of serious study, which include a masters in the field of Yoga, Caroline opened a private yoga therapy practice in Austin, TX in 2006. Most recently, she is finishing up her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Medical Branch,

Most of Caroline’s yoga studies come from the Sri T. Krishnamacharya lineage, who has had the greatest influence on yoga in the modern world. He was a master of yoga, scholor of philosophies, and reputable healer. Caroline has proudly studied with 4 of his direct students.
Caroline is a certified Yoga Therapist by the International Association of Yoga Therapists, and a registered E-RYT. Caroline is also certified in First Aid and AHA Heart Saver CPR, and her Master’s of Library & Information Science has aided her mind to think logically in order to quickly analyze each individual session and delve into the right practice for you.
